Alright so I just started my senior year of high school, and theres this girl from a school in the next county over that has some of the same friends as myself, and they all often hang out, especially this past summer, so they're all pretty good friends. i saw her and she seemed kinda cute..maybe..and i asked one of our mutual friends about her and she said she was really cool and that she was very chill in general and that shes kinda shy. that made her seem like a very nice person in my opinion.
this girl is in my english and math classes this semester, and so far she hasnt exactly showed signs of being the person our friend described to me, especially after today. we were in math class and we were taking notes, and she randomly says, "do you guys have AP Physics offred here?" and my teacher confirmed that we do, and she says "Oh cuz i already took it and its calculus-based so i already know about derivatives..." and my teacher and her had a convo for a few minutes discussing it. so far, it seems to me that she said that just to explain that she was too smart for the class already or something. just seemed kinda like one of those girls who thinks theyre smarter than everyone else, you know? (which technically is true, but i don't find it necessary to announce it to everyone).
alright so afterwards, we had been talking about limits and how to find them when we are given a formula, and she randomly says, "this was on mean girls!", and she then went on to explain the scene that she had remembered and stuff, and it was the most pointless thing i've ever heard anyone say. so, a this point, she seemed pretty conceited AND like a preppy airhead or something, and thats the complete opposite of how my friend described her.
so, what do you think? i think she may have been trying to open up or something, like get a fresh start at a new high school and was trying to gain friends by seeing if anyone in the room had the same mindset as herself...i dunno, i'm just kinda confused about her at this point. my general feeling toward her at this point is that...well, i just dont exactly like her all that much. please give your opinion and answer!
