I can download 800GB at What before going on ratio watch... and that'd probably be larger if I didn't keep pumping bounty into requests. Making a 50GB request tends to get things filled pretty quick

And as soon as they get the request sort by bounty thing fixed, more of that will be going into requests. The only reason I keep a buffer really is in case I have a catastrophic HD+backup HD failure.

Buffer is technically upload subtracted by download. Since FTN doesn't have download, you cannot (technically) have buffer on FTN. :whistling
