The Supreme court disagrees with you:

Let's break it down to something more basic, an individual.

Can an individual be racist so long as he inflicts no physical harm on others?

His liberties shouldn't be any different.

Nobody has a right to his, your, or my life. Doesn't matter whether you sell sandwiches or surgeries.

What's really funny is you probably really do believe that everyone arguing in favor of private business rights is just racist that wants to see blacks or whoever suffer

Hint: if someone did have a business that turned away blacks or whoever, I would support their right to do that, but I would also laugh in their face when someone burns their business down and I would applaud whoever did it. I wouldn't say whoever did it has a right to it, but I would applaud them nonetheless.

In a real world situation, things can always go wrong. Don't let people drive cars, they might crash. Don't let people cook their own food, they could get salmonella. Don't let people discriminate in private dealings, someone might get left out.

Just post this when someone calls you out on it. Then suddenly the context of your post just changed dramatically.

It only effects business!

So much douchery in this thread, I suggest suspending further posts until a tanker load of vinegar, hot water, and a huge rubber bladder can be obtained.

lets go ahead and allow businesses to cut corners on health standards and safety regulations while we're at it. its private property after all.....

One of the pinnacles of freedom is property. That is slowly being taken away...you have no control over anything anymore.

If that's true then why are you guys fighting so hard for a law that doesn't even work?

Not to sound flip, but as opposed to rational intolerance?

But I digress. I just love how people go around saying "Corporations are so greedy, they will sell their own money to make a buck", then also go around saying that they will indiscriminately discriminate against people and turn away their money just because they don't like the color of their skin, religion, sex, blah, blah, blah.

It's kind of hard to have it both ways.

But what many people fail to understand is that even if that is allowed to happen, and company A refuses to have person x as a customer for reason y, that creates a market for a new company, company a, to come in and get that person (and others) as customers.

Learning from history isn't moronic, in fact, it's the reason I have such disdain for you position, but considering your level of intelligence, you'd reason that Mount Vesuvius blasting open was because those damn republitards in Pompeii disrespected Gaia and didn't want to have UHC.

And if you can't decide who you do business with, it's not your private business. You essentially view business as property of the public. You feel that if you run a business, everyone has a right to use it. It is not a private business then.

It's okay if you don't believe in private business, but fucking stop trying to say you do, it just looks ridiculous.

You're absolutely right about all of that, but that still doesn't mean the government should be involved.
