I always tell my friends that CA will be the first state to make tobacco illegal and marijuana legal.

More to the point, mandating that minorities won't be discriminated actually improves private business, as people who would otherwise discriminate would be shooting themselves in the foot. In a way the civil rights acts protects the retards (aka racists) against their own stupidity.

And if you want to see how retarded and incompatible racism is with the free market, look to South Carolina where they refuse to take the Confederate flag down from their state house, and lose millions of dollars each year in boycotts.

how can you support private business when you are against allowing businesses to lie to your face? Why are you against letting them shoot you upon entering their property?
 
Well discrimination is one of those words that is hard to define. That's why there are court cases to decide what is and isn't.
 
Which is why any place that didn't serve blacks would probably go out of business pretty quickly, and the problem would take care of itself without any government interference.

While I think I understood what you said, may I simplify it for you, if I may.

Whether your belief is based in a capitalistic society or a socialistic one, they both eventually revolve around control of money and power. For this simplistic explanation of how they have more in common than they do in difference. I will simply express the possession of money and/or power in either social setting as "bread".

Life, under either system, is like a shit sandwich. The more bread you have, the less shit you have to eat.

Do you REALLY think its a good idea for government to have 0% oversight over a private business? Should we go abolish the FDA and allow food companies to put whatever shit they want in the food you eat? Oh wait, welcome to China. And yeah, I know China is communist. But short of criticizing their government, they can pollute, use child labor, discriminate, and poison food and products to their hearts content. I for one, would LOVE such a nightmare to happen in America.

But a fire extinguisher being required would be something to prevent other people from being harmed in the case of a fire breaking out. It is there because it's something that can directly effect others. A businesses choices in who they serve only effects the business.
