I have a 94 Toyota Camry, 4 cyl. that doesn't want to start all the time. I have replaced the spark plugs; car ran stronger, but problem continued. I replaced the starter; car starts up great, sometimes. The battery holds it's charge, so I know it can't be the alternator. A buddy mentioned it might just be the ignition switch that isn't sending sending a charge to the starter. Anyone else have any ideas or think this sounds about right?

First, check all your ground connections between battery, chassis, and engine and clean them up real good. Once you know those are all good, then you can start checking the ignition switch and solenoid.

You might need to check the grounds going to the starter and to your ignition. Also check your starter relay. Good Luck

I would be looking at the relays, especially the starter relay. Especially since it's an intermittent problem
