What's wrong with my Honda Accord's electrical system?

We had a clutch replaced about two weeks ago. The day after we got the car back much of the electrical things stopped working; the power windows, clock, all instruments on the dash (fuel gauge, RPM gauge, Speedometer), the rear defrost, reverse lights and cruise control. Also, the actual day we got it back we noticed the power steering seemed like it was going in and out as well, but not sure if that ties in at all. The person that fixed the clutch says he didn't come near anything that would cause those problems and basically isn't going to help. Does anyone know anything that could possibly be causing these things?? Please, mechanics, honda lovers...your input is needed.
PS the car is 1993. And don't tell me just to take it back to the person who fixed the clutch because that is NOT an option!! Thanks a bunch!

It sounds like he crushed a wiring harness somewhere near the trans-axle (transmission)and may or may not have realized it. Look for and inspect any wiring harnesses near the trans-axle and look for any cuts or crimps. You may also want to try and disconnect the negative battery cable for 1 minute to try and reset the computer. This is not likely going to fix the problem but it's worth trying.

when replacing the transmission the shop may have pinched the harness between the transaxle and engine or you may have a loose ground wire. my R&R guys have made these mistakes and the shop should have put it up on a lift to check for these things. you may want to get a second opinion make sure you give the original shop a chance to correct the problem even if the second shop finds that there was a mistake.
