HI, i recently bought a 1992 Ford Taurus SHO. Manual, V6 3.0 Liter. It ran great, no problems when test driving it. It was just a little beat up. Got a great deal on it! After a few weeks of driving it, had no problems, till i drove it about 35 miles to another town. I parked it. It sat for about an hour, went outside to start it an it wouldn't start. So i tried a few times. Stopped. Waited about 10 minuets an it started fine. But the check engine light was on. ? Got about a block down not even up to speed to get it in to 3rd an it back fired really loud! an started running horribly! so i pulled over. turned it off tried to start it an it wouldnt. so a few hours later a friend got it started an we brought it to schucks for one of them code test an it came up with the mass air flow senser, o2 senser an a few other things like, fuel pump, tune up clutch switch... But i was told that a senser shouldn't make a car back fire like that... Can some one tell me if the sensers could be the problems? or anything. Truly annoyed. Thanks!

Put simply, your car has a brain that alters ignition and fuel to make it run properly, and it relies on correct information from the sensors to do that. Your MAF may just need to be cleaned, your O2 sensor replaced, and your fuel pump checked and some new spark plugs.

That would be right what the computer came up with these codes...after all it is a bit of a worn car and old, good luck mate
