Whats wrong with my flash drive?

When I put my flash drive in both usb drives on my laptop the window that asks what I want to do won't show up and when I go on my computer my flash drive is not on there or it'll say removable disk(f).Also when the light on the flash drive stays on and doesn't go off and usually it'll flash on and then go off unless I'm saving something.. I there something I can do to fix it.
 
flash memory cells only last so many cycles before theyre dead i had the same problem theres no cheap way to fix it if its less than like 16gb then its not worth fixing you can buy like an 8gb for 4$
