Whats wrong with my feeder fish?

i have some small whiteish silver feeder fish (their name escapes me they were 28 cents each at walmart) i keep in a fish bowl beside my turtles tank last time i had rosy reds they all died within 4 days even though i fed and cleaned the bowl and what not
so this time i got these whitish silver guys but i just found one dead!!

they are meant to be food for my turtle not pets but i mean i dont want them all dead and rotten! whats wrong with them?
you know what nevermind i just stuck them in the tank with my turtle he wont do anything but chase them around anyway unless hes hungry lol thanks though!
 
Are you changing the water in the bowl? Does the bowl have a bubbler in it? Bowls don't allow for good gas exchange and without a filter waste products can build quickly creating a toxic environment.
