What's wrong with my cellphone battery?

I've never had a problem with the battery before, but the past two nights the phone has died (between 2am and 4am). The weird thing is, when I go to sleep a few hours before hand, the battery is full!
 
Well to start off, you shouldn't charge your phone over night. Within weeks of overcharging your phone your phone's battery will lose battery life. You should only charge your phone until the battery is completely charged. Another thing that is becoming more common is the charging port is being yanked continuously and is starting to go bad. Common in Motorola and LG Phones. Sorry bout all the info, but yea I've experienced it all. I'm not sure which carrier you have because it wasn 't specified but I would call customer service and see if maybe they can replace the phone.
