Whats wrong with my car?

I own a 92 pontiac grand am. Im not automobile savy at all this is my first car.But its been sounding weird when i drive it in drive so i started driving it in 2. but today when i pulled up to the store it wouldnt move foward at all it would back up but when i put it in drive or and foward shifts it would just rev up and not move. I had to get it towed to my back yard. any answers?

you transsmison probaly wnet out check your tranny fluid first then take it to a shop the worst hting you could have done was drive it in 2nd

sounds like you are low on transmission fluid and probably burnt up your transmission

sounds like your trans is low on trans fluid, if your lucky the trans is not ruined, maybe it leaked and got low
