ok so i bought a 93 toyota 4runner 4x4 auto trans v6 recently and it's starting to give me a little trouble. outa the blue at random about once every other day when i try to start it, it'll barely start and go to maybe 400 rpms and then stall out and it'll take a good 10 min of starting it like that before i can get the throttle to pick up and i'll rev it up and then it'll drive and idle fine... any idea what this could be?
..... for a little more info.. the oil pressure guage runs a little low but that might just be the sending unit.... and i have alot of carbon deposit in my tail pipe, which i thought it meant it was running rich but when i check the plugs they are a whiter color... not chocolate brown like they should be... and i've changed the plugs, oil, oil filter, and air filter.
no i didn't check for vacum leaks.. theres so many vacum hoses on that truck it's rediculus. lol. i thought it might would be a clogged cat converter, or maybe the O2 sensors.
and it only has 145,000 miles
