what's wrong w/my 2003 ford focus wagon zst?

this am, my gas gauge, oil gauge, speedometer didn't work. A/c & radio did. They went on briefly for a few seconds after I started driving and flickered on & off a few times. Arrived at work. Turned off car & restarted it, still not working. After work..8 hrs later, started my car & everything was working.
What do you think it could be? Is this a problem or just an aberration?
