Whats up with tmobile hiring system

Man Tmobile has had my resume and application for over 2 weeks. I sent my application to ATT as well and I got a reply for an interview in about 4 days. I really wanted to work for Tmobile considering they have 3 locations close to my house with open positions. I even called and went to talk to the managers and they said that they would check. Anyways I dont see how this online is that efficient. If they need to fill spots this takes way too long. I have heard from many others that due to their delay in contacting applicants they usually lose people to other companies.

Well before I applied I made sure that there were locations that were hiring. Three of the four that are close to me are hiring. So I applied, and even still they are hiring!

Did they know that putting yourself thru school was part of the reason you applied?? I've been turned away from other companies cuz they needed someone who would be "full time" and didn't have full time classes as a priority above working for them. They'll never come out and say it that way but It seems easier to get a job when I didn't have "student" on my resume.

Well speaking from experience (I'm a manager for them) I have to admit that managerial coherence plays a huge part in it. The program forwards info from online to the specidic requisitions you apply for. That being said, want some hints? Try to apply for everything if you don't know the req numbers. Dress up and go meet the manager at the stores closeby. Drop a resume and introduce yourself. Share your intent, and ask for the requisition number for that location. We are hiring mostly partimers right now so those are gonna be the majority of the open spots. Other than that, just be optomistic and patient.

Well I just went on an interview with ATT today for the same position I was hoping to get with Tmobile. I don't know how it will go but I need a job ASAP.

To whom ever told me to contact a manager and let them know my intentions, I have already done that with various managers at different locations. Also I did pick every req number available for my area. I don't know I want to work for tmobile but unless they call me within the next week I might be an ATT employee!

I also want to work for T-Mobile (until I get my foot in the door as a certified Sign Language Interpreter). I have bbeen a customer since 2003 and know a few of the data devices, including the Pocket PC Phone Edition (I had and LOVED the hp iPAQ 6315), BlackBerry, SideKick, and non-smartphone handsets.

Thanks for the tips. Now I know what to do when going for interviews and what to look for on the applications when I finish my current certificate program in American Sign Language/Interpreting (hopefully May 2009).
