I want to upgrade my individual plan to a family plan (just two lines, no data, no special crap), so that my live-in boyfriend and I can keep in touch during the workday and whatnot.I was super excited at the prospect of getting a new phone out of it.
I had picked out several fancy new phones to add to my plan but then I get this message that they all require that stupid $30/month data plan. If I wanted to use the data plan, that would be no problem, but I keep web and applications blocked because I just don't need any of that, and frankly, I don't want to spend over $100 on two cell phone plans!
Has anybody had any luck calling Verizon or going to a store to make a case about how much I DON'T need a data plan with my phone? I want to try to negotiate with them, but I need to know how strict they are with this rule. I'm 100% certain that there will never come a time that I will need to use any data.
