What's up with the video game pricing going up by $10?

Why are all the new video games for the 360 and PS3 now $69.99, while just a few months ago their regular price was $59.99. Did it suddenly cost $10 more to produce each video game copy, or do these damn publishers just think that they can just raise the price whenever they want and the consumers will just pay without question? And come on... a $10 raise in the price?? wtf??? A 17% increase in the price over night, without any reason for doing so?

What do you guys think about this? Will you keep buying the games at the same rate and in the same volumes as you used to? Or, will this price hike reduce your purchasing of video games?

Ya I did notice that, I think it's only in Canada cuz the price is still $59.99 in the US if you check websites. But ya it used to be $59.99 in Canada as well and now they raised it to $69.99. It sucks! I don't think I'll be buying too many games tho; only COD:MW2 and that's it!
