When I was growing up, I always wanted a J.T. Snow jersey, but could never afford one. Now that I have a little extra spending money to throw around, after tonight's game I decided to order one. But when I tried to order one, MLB.com says you can't order a jersey with a retired player's name and number from the team he retired . . . Why? Someone else asked this question on here and the answer was not very satisfactory . . . someone mentioned something about respect for the player. Respect? Isn't sporting a retired player's name and number honoring him? How is it disrespectful? Why won't the MLB let you order a retired player's jersey? This just seems silly to me . . . some other websites do not mention this warning on their websites, so a follow up question to this is do some of these sites ignore this rule and make these jersey's anyway? Has anyone had any success with this? Appreciate any feedback on this, thanks.
