WHATS UP WITH THE ELITIST HARLEY-DAVIDSON ATTITUDE?

I ride a customized 500cc I take to school and back.

I could care less about any damn biker culture.

But suddenly I find that people who own one type of bike think they are the best thing since sliced bread (HD riders) and another group racing me everytime I get on the freeway (RICER CARS AND SQUIDS)

I would be interested in knowing exactly what these riders have done to act superior. I'm guessing this might just stem from your own sense inferiority as I have never witnessed a Harley rider acting superior in any way. Yes they are proud of what they ride and its heritage but you could hardly call that being an elitist.

No man,... The Harley snobs are definitely in the minority. If a guy thinks he's gotta ride a Harley to fit in, then its like some people have said: if its gotta be explained to you, you wouldn't understand. Its the same with the wave bike riders do when passing going opposite directions; I personally wave at everyone... just because they are on two wheels. For example: I hate Hyosung motorcycles but at least the guy is a fellow rider...I'll stop for him if he's broke down and offer him a cell phone and I would hope he would do the same for me. I'll defend his choice of ride against anyone. I ride a Harley,(and I'm nobody special) and I do consider it the best motorcycle on the planet, but will ride with anyone that doesn't put me and everyone else in imminent danger. I have a core group of friends in the area that we all ride together.... some on crazy fast sportbikes, some on metric cruisers, some on Harleys.......Its a brotherhood thing.
Its OK that you don't care about the motorcycling "culture", as it were. That of course means you won't whine and b*tch and complain if nobody stops and offers to help if you find yourself broke down, right? You just wave them off and say "sorry, I don't care about the damn biker culture", right?
Like it or not you are in a group we call motorcycle enthusiasts. You can give it a positive image or give it a bad name.... its your call.
It sounds a little like you are the snob here.... with an attitude.

Think of it as 2-wheeled psychological over-compensation , the result of an unresolved childhood inferiority complex.

Maybe they are. Have you ever thought of stopping one of these "elitist" and asking them what bug crawled up their butt?
I ride a Harley and I could care less what the guy next to me is riding, as long as he is not riding like a jack ass. I ride with enduros, cafe racers and rice rockets. Riding is a state of mind. If others are bothering you, ignore them (except for the squids, run them off the road) and keep on riding!

Have you just now noticed that Harley riders are basically snobs? Where have you been? It used to be just good ole folk on Harley's, now it is Lawyers and Accountants. I would not be caught dead on one. Give me a classic 72 Triumph any day.

I ride rice burners too and i don't have any biker rider friends , nobody wants to ride with me, or be my friend because I don't own a Harley.
I want to have fun, ride to bars ,get into fights, meet more women and the only way is to own and ride a Harley
