No man,... The Harley snobs are definitely in the minority. If a guy thinks he's gotta ride a Harley to fit in, then its like some people have said: if its gotta be explained to you, you wouldn't understand. Its the same with the wave bike riders do when passing going opposite directions; I personally wave at everyone... just because they are on two wheels. For example: I hate Hyosung motorcycles but at least the guy is a fellow rider...I'll stop for him if he's broke down and offer him a cell phone and I would hope he would do the same for me. I'll defend his choice of ride against anyone. I ride a Harley,(and I'm nobody special) and I do consider it the best motorcycle on the planet, but will ride with anyone that doesn't put me and everyone else in imminent danger. I have a core group of friends in the area that we all ride together.... some on crazy fast sportbikes, some on metric cruisers, some on Harleys.......Its a brotherhood thing.
Its OK that you don't care about the motorcycling "culture", as it were. That of course means you won't whine and b*tch and complain if nobody stops and offers to help if you find yourself broke down, right? You just wave them off and say "sorry, I don't care about the damn biker culture", right?
Like it or not you are in a group we call motorcycle enthusiasts. You can give it a positive image or give it a bad name.... its your call.
It sounds a little like you are the snob here.... with an attitude.
