When my parents were kids, they never wore helmets when riding their bikes. But nowadays most parents make their kids wear them. I'm 17, and I don't wear one anymore, but my parents made me when I was younger. I hated that thing. It was so uncomfortable and awkward. Are these things really necessary, or is it a result of media hype?
