Yah.. people with no sense of cost-effective spending and environmental concerns may continue to enjoy what HUMMER have to offer. However, most americans including current HUMMER owners are re-evaluating HUMMER.
HUMMER H3 has about 7K - 8K cash rebate. Plus some dealer's discounts off the retail price, buyer can easily chop off 10,000 USD, from a 30,000 vehicle. That is about 33% off MSRP. Why was there a big discount? well we all know the answer. NOBODY WANTS IT!
I never driven a H1, so I can't say anything about H1, but there aint much to say about H1 since the production line stopped in 2006.
H2 and H3 are over-priced vehicles for its performance, designs, and value. Not to mention about the 0-60 mph 15 second or so.. hehe.. i can ride my bike and reach to 60 mph in less than 15 sec... jeez...
There are many good alternative in the market that are better in performance, design, and value. Say FJ Cruiser.
