What's up with "Made in Finland" phones?

well where the phone is made from has nothing to do with fw afaik~

You have a lot of trust in Nokia then! Maybe referring to "them" as monkeys is a bit harsh and the blame should start with those boys in R & D for some glaring design flaws. I think the N73 is going to creak no matter where it's manufactured. Other than that the units that have Made in Finland stamped on them seem to be better. I've never really paid attention to where they were manufactured until this debate started popping up a while back. Since that time i've owned 6 V3's and the ones made in Finland had tighter tolerances imo.

lol..thanks I just dont want people thinking I'm being racist....maybe a snob when it comes to made in finland but certainly not a racist...far from it.

I have had 1 Made in Nokia 8800, 1 Made in Finland 8800, 1 black Made in Germany 8800 and 2 Nokia 8801. (I haven't beat CarMovies record yet! Close tho. hehe)
Out of all those... I did experience both Finland, Nokia 8800 the back cover became minuscule loose. Fatal software error on the black Germany one.
So my conclusion now is i dont care. (And yes I am a cellphone whore! )
Added: All were brand new condition.

sssshhhhhhhh!!!!! i'm one of them Its on ebay right now and im lucky if it goes a little morethan 3 hundo and its mint!
i can't believe people really care where the phone was assembled....
i bet you the memory, the LCD , the keypad etc, were not even made in Finland..
Made by Nokia means Made by Nokia same quality control, same O/S, same crap.
maybe different language....
example hp LAPTOPS. i've had some made in mexico, some in mylasia etc etc. but all the parts inside were the same.. big whoppoie!

they come with english and chinese manuals, and obviously u can tell thru the keypad and fw.

they lowered the price because it's all flash! No substance. I'm finally selling my 8801 after swearing for years that I wouldnt. It's just boring! Looks and feels great but the battery life is beyond painful.
