What's up with "Made in Finland" phones?

But you are saying that Finland employees are better than Nokia employees from other countries, likening them to monkeys.

That's rascism if you ask me.
 
like..i never really understood what's so good about the 'made in finland' phones..like obviously you don't phones that are made in china..but why not get phones made in like japan or korea? or sth? you know what i mean? like..is it extremely special to get it in finland? i'm confused.. can someone clarify this for me
 
Look most of my nokia phones have been made in china and they have been rock solid, but then i never had a made in finland model ever.
 
which race? I'm comparing qualified Nokia employees and those that practice in "monkey" business. Race means nothing. I dont even know where "made by Nokia" phones are manufactured nor do I care. I only know that the final product is vastly inferior to those made in Finland (the home of Nokia).
 
i guess a general concensus with nokia phones is that the ones made in finland are built sturider as opposed to the ones made in china
im pretty sure no other companies manufacture their phones in finland
 
I think the whole issue is moot. I've had Nokia phones made in China, Japan, Korea Finland etc etc .... never noticed any trend at all in quality.
 
....and what about the pres? I was showing examples of unqualified workers and the poor results they yield. Cant be racism as I'm not a racist. period!
 
oh ic..so the ones made in finland..your saying is stronger than the ones built in china. but are there nokia phones made somewhere other than china and finland?

Still Jetlag.. How I wish I was there in that Nokia Event here in NYC.. You know me.

Oh well there is no future in Philippines.. 3310 are still hott over there.. Can't blame the poverty!!

Sold all my phones.. now I'm back to 0..
 
lol...I'm trying to stay out of this one as my current E62 is made in Cingular (or wherever) and my old E61 was made in Finland. Despite the UI being sluggish and slow and a serious deficiancy on RAM the E62 is a better build than my old Finnish made E61. Sturdier casing and a better joystick and keypad. I had no complaints as my E61 was built like a tank but this E62 is just a bit more solid. That being said, the Made in Mars N73 and N80ie I had were certainly not up to snuff while my E50 and E61 were solid. Could be that the N73 and N80 have more moving parts but it was still an issue.

It's a general consensus that is based on absolutely no empircal data whatsoever. I posted a while back asking if anyone had ever encountered any real evidence that there was any difference in build quality, and absolutely nothing came forward. No one who had ever compared two identical models made in different countires and observed a difference, no one who knew of any statistics from anywhere showing that non-Finland models were returned for repair any more frequently, nothing.

Instead, I got a lot of responses along the lines of the following:




Utterly baseless, unsupported conjecture. Not an iota of solid evidence showing that anyone on Earth has ever even encountered anything suggesting a difference in build quality related to country of origin. Just a lot of facile speculation and simplistic rationale to perpetuate a rumour that never should have gained any traction but somehow did.
