So I read a book about a 10 year old girl who lived during World War 2. I don't remember much. But if you ever read it please tell me the author or the title. It had something to do with acting I think (NOT SURE) but here's little bits that I remember...
She got stung by a jellyfish.
She had a brother and a mom and a dad and I think her friend had to live with her or she had to live with her friend because a family member died.
She listned in on her neighbors conversations because the phone back then was able to be heard by everyone.
And I think her friend was Jewish so her friend had to run away and I think she left her necklace with a JEwish cross on it to the protagonist. But the nazi's or soilders went into her house and were about to see if they were hiding her friend and her family or if they knew about her but she was wearing her necklace so she had to hide it and I don't remember much else but pleaseee help.
