what's the yardstick of judgment of Heresy?

there're so many churches in the country but they always argue each other.
Jesus established only ONE CHURCH in this earth. then why are they arguing?
which church is heresy and which church is real church established by Jesus?
how can we figure out the heresy? what's the yardstick of judgment?
