What's the worst film ever made?

Yes, of course! The original Michael Caine film was fantastic - one of my favourites. I'm still amazed at the inspired casting of Michael Caine, Noel Coward and Benny Hill! EVerything about it was great. Everything about the remake was awful - especially the fact that (reportedly) Edward Norton was forced to do it against his will through some type of contractual obligation.

I liked The Village. Wasn't it an allegory for how governments invent enemies to keep their own poulation under control?
Ooo! But Signs was DREADFUL! It was so contrived as to be laughable. It's going on my shortlist. But I'm taking Dude Where's My Car off, because although it was awful it's not the worst film ever made.

- Ocean's Twelve
- Tank Girl
- Cat Woman
- Batman and Robin
- ThunderbirRAB
- The Avengers
- The Stepford Wives (remake)
- Jurasic Park 3
- Rat Race
- Italian Job (remake)
- Signs

Lets get this sorted. The Charlies Angels films are brilliant. Just turn your brain off. Perfect popcorn fodder.

Now, if you wanna know about bad movies:

King Kong Lives (1987 flop staring Linda Hamilton) but out on dvd

Super Mario Brothers

Surf Ninjas

The Secret Agent Club

Santa with muscles

Leonard part 6 (so bad, star bill cosby told people not to go see it)

Cool as ice (staring the original vanilla rapper Vanilla ice)

Thunder pants

House of the dead

and You got served. amazing dances but a painful film

also
i find Napoleon Dynamite dull, but its not the worst film ever. anyone else find it over rated?

Yes, Ed Wood films are bad, but they're endearing - and entertaining. I'd never walk out of a screening of one or switch off the video half way through (like I had to with Tank Girl). And the dream sequence in Glen or Glenda is fantastic!
And I've never seen Santa Claus Meets the Martians.

Crap is crap but a distinction should be made between a $100M budget Hollywood film or a direct to DVD sequel that is made knowing the title alone is enough to get it put in the shopping trolley in Wal-Mart or Asda.

Starship Troopers 2 was an experiment in low budget film-making, made as a favour between those who worked on the original. only cost $6M. Any fan of the original would be dissapointed but it works as a TV movie and the sentiment is sort of carried over by the original writer with his anti-Iraq war / republican party stance. I still hated it!

The Departed, how can Scorsese win an oscar for a re-make that is worse than the original! (Being rhetorical I know the answer).

I strongly recommed to all that before you make up your mind on this, you watch Alone In The Dark, starring Christian Slater, and Tara Reid. Yes, I said Tara Reid. She is playing the part of someone intelligent, very badly. She believes in order to be convincing all she has to do is wear specs and put her hair up in a bun. Stephen Dorf is also in it, I have no idea why and he doesn't seem to either.

Not only is this film terrible in absolutely every sense of the word, I have just seen to my horror on the IMDB that Slater is in talks to do a sequel, imaginatively titled Alone In The Dark II for '09.

I suffered real pain watching this film, and I don't see why any of you shouldn't suffer too :D

Not sure if anyone has watched them, but Mission to Mars and Camp, both absolutely, heart wrenchingly diabolicle movies, thankfully, i didn't have to pay to see them, but i walked out of Camp and would have got a refund lol!!

I'm going to put my foot in it and say I like The Wicker Man remake ( well the uncut version out on DVD without the silly added on ending)

The worst film of all time has to be Omen4 it's pants but good for a laugh lol
