I don't know which is worse: That, or balut (which is basically an egg with the aborted fetus of a chick inside).

Patti, if it helps, Chinese restaurants serve some pretty good duck dishes.

Green Chilly.. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... itz hot... and had to gulp some 3-5 spoons of sugar

Someone tricked me into eating goat intestines when i visited China... definitely not a pleasent experince (i actually threw up... )

unknown duck parts in china... we went out to eat Beijing duck with my sisters' host family and I had a bit of everything but the brain and wouldn't let them tell me what it was

a leaf
they taste nice depending on which you get

I've also eaten apple grass on PGL

Oh, and a marble

Small slugs (and no, they're not escargot). When you buy them, they're alive...which was a slight problem since they tend to escape from their bowl and crawl around the kitchen.

Batter ball with octupus tentacle. and the batter was only half way deep fried.

No joke. I saw one where he had those eggs from China that were like years old and rotten. Apparently they were a delicacy in that country? I'm not quite sure, I can't remember. Different cultures, eh?

A chocolate covered cricket. I got it at a museum's gift shop, because a friend bet that I couldn't eat it.

Smilax...it's a weed that tastes like asparagus. :P I used to work with a landscape architect and he made us taste some of the plants. :goof:

inspired by a post on the gl thread
