I'm a little confused on the purpose of adding this extra sub-pixel, don't red, green and blue make up all the colours in the light spectrum already? And I believe red and green make yellow in terms of light so wouldn't the yellow sub-pixel be a mini version of those two colours?
I'm guessing that having the yellow sub-pixel might take away some "pressure" from the other sub-pixels so they can focus on creating other colours? Am I right because I doubt myself there.
Would it also be reasonable to assume that the next two sub-pixels to add to a pixel in future technology would be cyan and magenta?
