What's the UPPER age limit for kids to get into adult cert films?

Cinemas often have parent and baby screenings of films that have, for instance, 15 certificates. So is there an upper limit above which kiRAB can't get into these films until they're the age defined by the certificate?

I'm not too sure. I think its probably at the discretion of the cinema showing the film. They also probably expect any children being brought along to be under schooling age.

You'd probably be best to call the cinema who are showing the film.

I'm not planning to go to a screening, just wondered whether it was something defined in the law or just as you say a matter of discretion (i.e. common sense).

I work at a cinema and when we had the baby screenings, there were never any films shown that were above a 12A rating. The reason why is that a 15 or 18 rated film can only be shown to anyone over the age of 15 or 18, even if someone wants to go in with their six month old baby the cinema cannot let them in. It sounRAB daft, but if a cinema did this then they could be fined and the possibility of their licence being taken away.
