I have just pick the apples off my apple tree in the garden. I have peeled them and was looking for advise on how too cook them and with what recipes. Thanks.
Sorry, I can't thumb's up because I'm only on level one. :)
They are cooking apples I think. They are small and pretty firm and no good to eat raw.

My husband cooks them in a crock pot. He slices them and adds butter, cinnamon and I think sugar. Cook them for a few hours until soft.

I make apple crisp a lot. There are 2 ways to do it. First, you can bake it. Slice your apples and cover the bottom of a 9x13" baking pan. In a mixing bowl, mix:
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 c. oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. all purpose flour
1/4 c. white granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Sprinkle on top of the apples. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.

The other way I do apple crisp is I cook the apples in a saucepan or in the microwave. In a skillet, I melt the butter with the oats. In a small bowl I mix the rest of the ingredients and add it to the butter & oats. Cook over low heat and stir until it is all mixed together. Then serve the apples with the crisp in individual bowls.

Hey :) Depending on what kind of apples they are, there are different ways they are used best in cooking. Personally my favorite apple recipe is apple crisp... And its so simple, all you need is oatmeal, sugar, cinnamon, and apples :)

I have no idea what type of apples, if they are cooking apples, you can prep them and can them for pies etc or preserves

Clean, peel and core, slice in circles, place in pot add 1/4 cup water to bottom, pour one container maple syrup over, cover and place on low, let cook till tender.

from this you can make fried pies, apple pies, preserves, turnovers etc

Apple butter, is apples, brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon, sugar, cooked till done, then blended and cooked till thick

You can bake the apples in the oven with sugar and cinnamon and let them cool, then freeze in containers.
