What's the speediest S60 phone?

Just curious out of all the new S60 phones Nokia has been coming out with (N-series, E-series, etc), which has the speediest (in terms of response time) UI? The S60 phones I've used in the past just seemed too sluggish to really be used efficiently as a phone. They were nice in terms of flexibility, but the slow UI left a lot to be desired. Thanks in advance!

What whisky said^^ older s60 phones were slow, but the n93 boots quickly and programs start almost instantly, even the gallery is quick now

well speedy, but what about RAM? don't those phones suffer from lack of ram? so you get the program open fast but it can't keep them open... the N70 and N73 are good on ram and my N70 isn't that much of a slouch speed wise.

How do we know the N95 is speedy anyways. Based on the few videos I've seen, simply sliding from one side to the other is visibly not instant, the UI takes several seconds to change..

If (and that is a BIG IF), N95 will use OMAP 3430, then it will be like 3~4x faster than N93, however if N95 will use OMAP 2430, then it will be slightly faster than the N93 with its OMAP 2420... but then, we still have to consider the OS as well...

IMO, bottom line, which ever S60 device that will use the OMAP 3430 will be the fastest S60 ever, well that is unless samsung and LG does not decide to have their own CPU and beats TI by a mile... anything is still possible...

See that's the main prob I have with S60 phones and why I haven't used one since the 6600. There just seem to be too many combinations of setup that either make or break it in terms of usability. Be it processor, RAM, Symbian version, etc. Not sure, maybe my opinion will change, I mean, the N-series sure does look sexy.

I am hoping that it does use the 3430 but I suspect not, as the 3430 can record in actual DVD resolution 720x480 but I believe they are still using the term "near DVD" quality and and the N95 can only record at 640x480. It will be the next big one that has the 3430 IMHO.

Symbian just went up to version 9 and yes, that was a break. Henceforth it seems that the platform will exist for a good amount of time. The processor used doesn't make a difference in terms of application support except maybe the faster processor will run the program faster. I suppose with 3D gaming you need to have either the N95 or N93 so far and more to come later.
