Corvair was an interesting car.I restored a 63 convertable in 75 and used it in the summer for 5 years. It had a personality but was a good car.Todays cars are so much better-don't even think about a Corvair!
Nothing wrong with Corvairs. It's Ralph Nader that is all f'd up. As with all cars they have their own personality, and the ones who know them don't have problems.
Been there done that......... back in the day the cars were fairly reliable. Yet they did have a couple of kinks....... Leaked oil and were notorious on breaking fan belts. Everyone carried a spare and they were a bear to install. Also any one with a Spyder and turbo charging was in for a challenge. Good news was the car was a tank in the snow. Lots of room fun to drive. Parts today are hard to come by.
