What's the point in arguing?

Has any theist/atheist/agnostic/deist going to change there mind from this section? What's the point in fighting about god(s) and religion and all that jazz? Aside from people who enjoy debating, is there a reason for this to continue?
 
Some say they have indeed changed their point of view on this list.
Anyone who has been in their faith for a long time, and really knows what they are talking about and what they believe, cannot and will not be changed by argument.
For those who do enjoy it, I don't see what's wrong with it. I hate the personal digs at other people more than anything else. I just try not to engage in argument.
 
Christians change their minds all the time on this section.

I've asked several times "Who here has converted from christianity to atheism or atheism to christianity" and all you'll get are christians who have become atheist.

Atheism is the future. It is not static.
