What's the name of this game?

I used to play it when I was a kid so it was like a late 90s game. I remember it had something to do with like the devil. The main character looked like a human but I don't thing he was because he was like all weird colored and really skinny. He always wore a cloth thing over his mouth except when he like ate someones soul. I really liked it, can anyone help? OH! also it was for PC I don't know if it was released on anything else but that's what I played it on
