I saw it on Sky during the day about a year ago. It's quite possibly the most depressing film Ive ever seen, but at the same time it was brilliant and very thought provoking.
The storyline was a family, mother, and three children trying to survive in the aftermath of a nuclear war. The father was killed in the blast because he was working away in a city(I think it was San Francisco) that was nuked. The family lived in a small town far enough away to escape initial destruction but close enough to eventually sucombe to the radiation. Its awful as one by one the family die, starting with the youngest son. The people of the town dtry to carry on as normal but gradually they sucombe to the radaition as well.
Anyway Its stayed with me, and I loved to know what its called. It looked like it was from the late 70's, early 80's.
Anyone know?
