...women he's slept with? I saw the book around 2003 or 2004 in a large chain store like Borders or Barnes & Noble. On each right page was a quiet black and white photograph of a woman, and on the left hand side was a bit of text about the woman, era or circumstance relating to that particular picture. The text & photos proceeded chronologically to create an autobiographical narrative of the photographer's young life. Later that week I looked up the book on Amazon, and was delighted to discover that the book was a slight hoax--the photographs and texts presented an autobiography that was actually fictional. My interest in artist mythologies and 'art lies' makes me want to revisit this monograph, but no combination of search terms and limitations in Google or Amazon seems to produce the title or author.
