whats the most power engine fords ever made?

Well the 2010 Mustang Shelby GT500 has teh 5.4L supercharged V-8 pushing out 540HP and 510 lb-ft of torque. I am guessing that this is the most powerful Ford engine in a production vehicle.

A very few Ford Galaxies (not sure all years but I know it was very limited offered in 1965) featured the Cammer 427 motor which had a whopping 657BHP!! This is probably the most powerful engine of all time but was very very rare and was quickly discontinued. That made the Galaxy rocket from 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds! if you could keep it in a straight line and keep traction to the wheels lol. But remember back then they measured HP differently than today and that figure would probably be lower, but I am guessing it would still be the most powerful.

I believe the most powerful Chevrolet motor is the new supercharged LS9 which you can find in the Corvette ZR1 and the Cadillac CTS-V.
 
In a production automobile, probably the supercharged 5.4L in the GT, and for Chevy, the new supercharged 6.2L LS9 small-block V-8 engine.
 
well it's not a production car ,should of been but John Colletti, one of Ford's best personal and former leader of SVT put a BOSS 429 V8 engine in a 1995 mustang gt. Jack Roushe helped build it as well. It created 855hp. 0-60 1.9 sec. It's actualy a 420 but heres the link. its awsome
