Choices in my area:
Ju-Jutsu
Muay Thai
Ninjutsu
Kick Boxing
Gumdo (Whatever that is?)

Thanks guys :D
Hmm I'd say more for street fighting, but competition as well, but there's no wrestling academies where I live.
I can ONLY do the martial arts I have listed. So Gumdo is now out of the picture, seeing as I don't plan to hack people with swords (As awesome as that may sound).

So Muay Thai seems to be a definite striking answer. And I just found a Judo academy. So how does this sound
Muay Thai + Judo + Ju Jutsu

Depends if you want it for street fighting, or for competition.

For street fighting i'd say ninjitsu, muay thai and jiu jitsu.

For competition it would be muay thai, jiu jitsu, and wrestling.

Gumdo is a Korean sword fighting style

I would go for Muay Thai for striking.
BJJ for grappling (but if you can find a Judo school they are usually cheaper and you learn more throws but less submissions).

muay thai is deffinetly the main choice. it has the best overall stand up. gets you in great shape and is very usefull in a real fight.

out of the list i would mix it with gumbo. gumbo is a korean sword trainning. while you probably wont have a sword (unless you buy one) these forms with anything long and sturdy that you can pick up (hard branch or pole). this means if your in the street and outnumber u can use a weapon as an equilizer. (plus its pretty badass to know how to use a sword)
