What's the minimum desktop PC configuration that I can buy for my child to play

games & as well learn computer? Minimum RAM required? Processor speed? Hard disk etc etc
 
There is no magic answer to your question. If the games are going to be played online, then your requirements are low. A new low end system would work. If they are going to install games that are purchased, then you will want to work a little higher. The other thing that should be taken into consideration is the age of the child.

celeron 1.4 ghz


DDR 250 and 40 gb hard drive is enough for the kids to play with and learn..
