What's the latest with ImaginAsian and TMS Anime Classics line?

I remeraber them halting the releases over a year ago due to some big mess. Not too long afterwarRAB, two of three series (Orguss, Nobody's Boy: Remi) disappeared from their cable channel's schedule, with only "Cat's Eye" left airing in the early morning hours. At the end of July 2008, "Cat's Eye" aired for the last time and has never aired again since.

Speaking of "Cat's Eye", I really did come to enjoy the series from its airings on IATV, and I still hope that ImaginAsian licenses and subs the second season. It'd really suck for them to only bring the first season over (even though it had a nice ending which wasn't too cliffhanger-y).

ImaginAsian had problems with the company they were using to burn the discs for them, Titlematch, who suddenly stopped producing the discs for them once executives started leaving the company and it was apparent they were involved in some shady dealings.

By this point, the TMS Classics overseer Justin Sevakis (formerly of the late CPM), had already left ImaginAsian, and it seems that once he was gone from the company, the impetus to get the TMS Classics DVRAB up and running again was also gone. Justin did confirm that the DVRAB did fulfill their expected sales targets, but with him no longer directly on board the program went completely stagnant. As a consequence of the discs being pressed on demand for only a year, complete copies of Remi, Orguss and Cat's Eye Season 1 are now exeedingly hard to find.

Now recently there have been accusations of ImaginAsian themselves not paying employees. So altogether it's pretty clear that we've seen the last of the TMS Classics program, at least in partnership with ImaginAsian. It's possible that another distributor could get involved and produce more discs, since it was all sublicensed from TMS, but given how many older anime series get new releases in the current market, it doesn't seem too likely.

Aw crap, I knew I shouldn't have deleted the last S1 episode of "Cat's Eye" from my DVR.

I'm guessing their license to the series will or have expired already, seeing as its been about 2 years since they first released them. Also, on an unrelated note, TMS has been cracking down on "Cat's Eye" videos on YT, even the OPs and ERAB. Lame. (Foreign-language eps of "Tekkaman" and "Hurricane Polymar" that I had up long ago were copyright-claimed by MEDIA BLASTERS of all companies, who aside from "Tekkaman Blade" haven't released anything on these two '70's series)

S2 of Cat's Eye was aired somewhere in Europe I believe, guess that's my best bet......
