whats the last five films you watched

number 1 is the last movie:

Tombstone (it was on TV). I like Kurt Russell
Chronicles of Riddick
Pitch Black (I watched em both back to back)
Shrek (it was Sunday and I needed something to cheer me up)
Wonderland (I bought it about 6 months ago for the price of a pint and it was still in the wrapping. I watched it and thought 'great film')

Ooer, erm... Lemmie think...

* Miami Vice - First half hour was entertaining, next hour slow and drawn out, final thirty minutes OK. Generally speaking, not bad, but a little too flabby for me. 7/10

* Accepted - Justin Long in college comedy. Knows its limitations and plays to them as best it can; shame that the genre has been beaten to death. The film had plenty of potential, but sadly ended up looking tired and overworked. 6/10

* Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby - Usually like the dumb fun on offer from Will Ferral, but this failed to raise any laughs. The few titters came from the supporting cast, and Gary Cole manages to save an otherwise uninspiring 'cash-in' comedy. 6/10

* Rumor Has It... - Rom-com featuring Jennifer Aniston. Not particularly 'Rom' or 'Com' as far as I was concerned. Mark Ruffalo seemed positively... erm... 'spaced out', Kevin Costner couldn't be bothered and Shirley MacLaine obviously wanted some extra spending cash. Ludicrous plot, dreadful execution and a complete car-crash of an ending. Awful. 2/10

Can't think of what I saw before that - I find it hard to keep up with what I've rented since they changed the 'previously added' category on LOVEFiLM.

Last 5 films I watched:

Mean Girls - Surprisingly good fun 7/10
Scary Movie 4 - Trash but a few laughs in the first half 3.5/10
The Weatherman - Meh, was OK 6/10
Million Dollar Baby - Excellent 9/10
Warrior (Musa) - Fantastic! 9/10

Been something of a CGI evening.

Hoodwinked - 7/10 Much better than I thought it was going to be.
Happy Feet - 8/10 Much, much better than I thought it was going to be.
Shrek 3 - 8/10 Just as good as the previous two. Shreks, that is.

Naked - Really liked it. It was very thought provoking.
Gosford Park - Was a bit slow to start but I thorougly enjoyed it once it got going.
Mischief Night - Suprisingly okay.
Goodfellas - LOVED IT!
Scarface - Didn't really live up to my expectations.

The Last King Of Scotland - Really Good, but possibly a tad long.
Tristian & Isolde - Easily Watchable, but other half adores it
Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy - Prefer TV version but great all the same
The Lake House - Watchable, again other half's choice
Terkel in Trouble - Surreal, just Surreal

Thats the last 5 I can remember, there are others but for the life of me I can't remember what they were! Can't have been that good!

1) Bonfire of the Vanities- I like this. The tone is unevan and the central characters are all miscast but i still find it enjoyable.

2) Speed- Classic action movie. I still wish it had ended when Keanu and Sandy escaped the bus though. The ending feels like it's in a different film after that.

3) Remains of the Day- Great film. Was never a fan of Merchant/Ivory films but i love this. Anthony Hopkins is brilliant towarRAB the end of the film, so much emotion from a relatively blank expression.

4) Say Anything- Cameron Crowe will never better this, evan Jerry Maguire can't come close.

5) Serendipity- John Cusack again. Pure fantasy, but i enjoyed. A warm and cosy type of film.

I've been revisiting some lately too... had to really think about this...
5. Lucky Number Slevin - amazing
4. The Crimson Pirate - it was on tv & Burt Lancaster is my mums all time fave, so I always feel obliged!!
3. Love Actually - again, cuz i was in the mood for romance
2. My Own Private Idaho - one of my favourites, that I watch periodically
1. Kill Bill - as I'd only watched it on pirate :o and have since bought the real thing
1. (as I'm not sure of when this fell) School of Rock - we watch it at work now and again, I'm a teacher... the kiRAB like it. (I do too)

angus, thomngs and perfect snogging

-- Was v.funny, very good acting from Aaron Johnson (robbie) and Georgia Croome (Georgia)..most of them were good at playing the part !!...georgia was exactly how i imagined her!

people you must see this!! ...i give it 7/10 :-)

Gran Torino- Absolutely superb film, possibly in the top 10 faves ever.
Futurama- Into The Wild Green Yonder- Disappointing if it's the last Futurama ever.
Outlander- Not as bad as I had suspected it was going to be.
Valkyrie- Very good film and I'm not normally into that kinda stuff.
Somers Town- Not bad, perhaps a little too indie for my liking but I did somewhat enjoy it.

1) Strictly Ballroom - For like the millionth time last night. I love it!
2) Center Stage - Ditto, only the night before
3) Devil Wears Prada - Missed the first 10 minutes! But I really enjoyed it.
4) Spirited Away - My anime obsessed frienRAB forced me to watch! I enjoyed it, though it hasn't made me want to watch any more anime.
5) What's Eating Gilbert Grape? - Johnny Depp, what more could you want? I know, Leonardo DiCaprio's best performance! I'm not joking.

Mondays In The Sun (Los Lunes al sol) 8/10
Silent Light (Stellet licht) 7/10
Beaufort 7/10
Southland Tales 5/10
Balls Of Fury 3/10
