whats the fastes engine you can possibly put on a honda civic hatchback eg 93-98?

Just so you know, the EG shape was 92-95, the 96-98 was the EK/EJ.

With enough work anything can go in -- so the possibilities are endless -- people have got 7.0 V8 Corvette engines in civic's before. So the fastest possible engine would have to be from a Porsche carrera GT or something similar, but in terms of Honda engines the JDM k20a from the 2001 Honda integra Type-R DC5 would be fast, You could even use the 237bhp F20C honda s2000 engine, or the C32B V6 from the Honda NSX, but the F20C and C32B would require alot of work to make them fit and run properly, and would have to be mated to a FWD gearbox.
