I'm always worried about my health like if I get an unusual ache or dull pain that I've never had before I think the worst. I've had lots of tests done and came out negative but then if I feel something my mind starts going. Is this GAD or OCD disorder? I see a therapist and I'm on anti-depressant meRAB for the past two weeks.

well I do the same exact thing. And I also have really bad OCD. OCD, GAD, Social anxiety dosorder, health anxiety, they are all under the same category ANXIETY. I keep asking my therapist if me worrying about my health all the time is actually my OCD or is it just health anxiety and all they keep saying is it is all in the same family. So I know I didn't really answer your question very well but that is what I have got from my theapist.

Do you think it would be described as hypochondria? As mentioned, with one kind of anxiety, others often come with it. If you are anxious about one aspect, there is likely something else. Something like this will take some time for improvement, so don't get discouraged! Is your therapist helpful? Talking to someone about the specific things that bother you can be very helpful. Taking the meRAB can help you feel calmer, but they don't work for everyone. Unfortunately, some meRAB work better for some people than others. You might even have to try different ones if you don't see a difference. Usually you will want to wait a few months and see if you see any improvement before trying something new.

Well i am a teenager but i can understand what it means to have hypochondria because i have it myself. i have talked to my mother about it and she is ready to help me and get rid of it.

How it starts =
Everytime i have a headache, i think i have a heart attack.
Same thing with Chest Pains = Heart Attack.

i know this its not possible or very rare but i just can't stop thinking about it.
I am thinking about going to therapy, and i hope its going to help me.

I have also started living healthier. (No more Pop, just water or Juice.)
Not so much Junk Food. Eating better helps me think about myself in a positive way, which helps me get rid of thoughts about diseases.

Even though i haven't gone to therapy yet, i recommend going to it because i have heard many positive things about it, and that it helps alot.

You are not alone.:)
