What's The Difference?

Can someone tell me what the difference is between a pinched nerve and a calcium deposit? Does the calcium deposit cause pain? I have this shoulder pain that if I move it in a certain way, it causes a pain that will travel down my elbow and it hurts! I don't know what it is. I have neck pain and back pain pretty persistent on a daily basis and I don't know that my shoulder pain has anything to do with it or not. I do notice that it is starting in the other shoulder but it just aches from time to time. The shoulder that hurts, it will have an ache like mild burning sensation (if I am describing it right) My arms just ache at times. Any one have any insight for me? Thanks so much!!!!

I once had that same pain that started near my shoulder blade and traveled down my arm. It was caused by a "pocket" of lactic acid that was putting pressure on the nerve... In effect, a "pinched" nerve. It was successfully treated by my chiropractor who used a combination of heat, ultrasound, spinal manipulation, and massage to break up the lactic acid.
Chiropractors fix this kind of pain in ways no medical doctor can begin to touch.

Yes. If the vertebrae in the neck aren't in alignment, or if they have bone "spurs" of calcium, it can definitely put pressure on the nerves that serve the arms.
I'll tell you that seeing a medical doctor is more likely to just give you pain pills than to actually fix the problem so that it doesn't recur. A chiropractor has the ability to actually make it better.
