What's the difference between ranked/unranked? v.XBLive

So far I've just been playing unranked for fun, am I wasting my time?

Ranked will put you with people of the same skill level. Unranked puts you with whoever.

i believe you only win money in the ranked play which can be used to buy stuff like character customization shit.

ranked sucks. I played a ranked game of cops 'n crooks and you only get one life

That's just one of the settings, it can be like that in unranked too.
