What's the difference between depth of field, and depth perception?

Suppose that I want to explain to someone that objects further aways from you will not be as clear like objects that are closer to you to the human eye.

Which one would I use and why?
If neither, then what's the best term with the same idea that I can use to describle what I'm talking about?

Neither one. That is simply loss of resolution with distance.

Depth of field is applied to cameras, and it means the range of distance over which the image is in sharp focus for a particular lens setup. For example depth of field for one setup may extend from 2 meters to 3 meters.

Depth perception applies to the human's (and some animals) ability to take two images from two eyes, and merge them into one image that also indicates the relative distance of each.
