Whats the difference between a fish eye and wide angle lens?

Both makes for wide angle view, meaning you get a of scenery into the picture. But the fish eye lens would tend to distort the perspective of the picture, where the wide angle would keep everything in perspective.

It's the angle of the lens. The wide-angled lens is bowed out just gradually, so there's very little distortion to the viewer, whereas the fish-eye lens focuses on the center point and distorts the outer rim.
