I am a 31 year old female. 6 years ago I got sick with a very large pericardial effusion. 1100cc's of fluid was drained from my heart sack. It was determined at the time that it was idiopathic. I had to have it drained a second time and suffered from severe inflammation. I had a pericarectomy one year later in hopes that that would solve the problem. It didn't. I still suffer from chronic pain and inflammation in my chest around my heart and lungs. I am on 20 mgs of Prednisone daily but I also have flares and sometimes take up to 60 mgs a day. As a result I have steroid induced Diabetes and am obese. I also have chronic inflammation in other areas of my body including my eyes and bowels (inflammatory bowel disease). I have been diagnosed with Fybromyalgia. I have endometriosis and fybroid tumors as well. I have had my gall bladder out also, due to stones. It has been 6 years and I have been tested for many things including Lupus and some other auto-immune disorders. Anyone have any ideas at all? Has anyone experienced anything similar? I have a hard time believing that all the problems exsist seperately but no doctor I've seen has given me any reasonable answers. Please tell me there is someone out there with some ideas. I suffer from clinical depression and this makes it so much worse.
