I'm in love, with the movie, "We Are Marshall". It just fascinates me, like so much so, I thought about moving there. But now it seems like, horror, and comedy films are getting all of the glory.

Why aren't they making anymore good classics? Like, I'm a female, and I'm also obsessed with, "Friday Night Lights". Their is something about the south, and football especially. It just fascinates me, beyond belief. I think WAM would've won like every award out there. (Golden Globe, etc.)

Why are sports films, always at the bottom of everyone's list? And why, don't they make them like they used to. If they would've came out with "We Are Marshall", say in 2008-2009 it would've made millions more!

Most sports films are sappy, formulaic, melodramatic and predictable. There are exceptions, but it's a pretty disappointing genre as a whole.

And what do you mean, horror and comedy get all the glory? Rarely do comedies, and even more rarely do horrors, get nominated for any kind of award. They get major box office money, but they aren't very respected.

Sports films are good. But you can only do so much with them. They get old after a while. A sports team or athlete is lowly and disrespected and then rises to the top. This is the usual routine, but can be altered a bit. Sports films get OLD. Sorry to let you know that.

On the other hand, it is much easier to think of some new ideas with action films and horror ones.

Movies that deal in comedy actually do a lot better during a recession or a depression. whatever they wish to call it. people don't want to go to a movie an watch someone in the dumps and doing badly. even though in the end movies like WAM have an uplifting story, it takes to much time to develop. Thats why movies that are strictly comedy, have a tendency to do better. More people would rather see something be instantly up lifting rather than wait for an account of an actual event that has struggles with very low lows and over-coming adversity that is truly amazing. And to know its all true, even more astonishing.

if i was ur date.. i would tell u.. were gonna watch fast and the furious
