When asking questions about critique/feedback for my fan fiction work/characters I've noticed a lot of folks seem to dislike fan fiction being mentioned. I've written fan fiction and have done fan art for almost a decade. I've gotten some good feedback on both and in the process I've learned a few things that helped improve my writing skills. I do have some original fiction and artwork but I've read fan fiction is good practice for first time writers. True there's several fan fiction stories where the plot doesn't make a lick of sense, the characters are really off and few other things... but then there's some that are well written.
