I'm writing what I think will turn out to be the next great coming of age novel. I'm half way into it and my eyes are fixed on marketing. I have ZERO connections. Is there anyone out there who knows what a good first step would be. Obviously, I should find an agent but how?? Everyone's telling me I need to know someone already in the business.
What's the business like for first time authors these days?
